Garden Games for weddings, parties and events

We have a great choice of garden lawn games:

Croquet – Sunny days are best spent playing games, and our croquet sets are essential companions when the weather’s warm and you’re surrounded by family and friends…you pour the Pimm’s, we’ll supply the croquet set.

Jenga – Our giant game of Jenga consistently proves to be our most popular garden game.

Tug of War – Grab all the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids to create a fabulous picture.

Dominoes – What then could be better than great big fun-sized dominoes that can be played indoors or in the garden?!

Quoits – Quoits is a fun alfresco activity that requires eagle-eyed accuracy. The idea is to throw the rope hoops over the pegs – each of which is worth a different number of points.

Limbo – How low can you go? Limbo is a great family party game. Loosen up and “Limbo” down as far as you can go. People of all ages find the game amusing and it’s one of those where children have a distinct advantage! Keep lowering the beam until only the most flexible person – the winner – is left.

Snakes & Ladders – Here’s the traditional game of Snakes and Ladders in a giant size. In this version there are no counters – YOU jump from square to square, climb up the ladders and slide down the snakes!

Connect 4 – Take it in turns to strategically drop your coins into the English ash frame. The aim is to be the first person to create a row of four coins – whether that’s vertically, horizontally or diagonally.

Naughts & Crosses – Everyone remembers playing noughts and crosses in the margins of their school books, and now you can experience this classic tactical game in giant proportions.

Skittles – These hardwood Skittles are beautifully polished to give a quality finish. Test your accuracy to the limit and try to knock all the pins down in one.

Our garden games are added to throughout the year and are advertised on our social media pages that provide great wedding inspo

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions you may have about our garden games

What happens if it rains?

Depending on the wedding venue, many of the games can be brought inside like Giant Connect 4 and Giant Jenga. However, some games like croquet can’t be, so for this eventuality we supply a marquee as long as your wedding venue can accommodate this at a small charge. You would simply have the marquee set up for the duration of your day. Unfortunately we cannot predict the weather however we do all we can to ensure you and your wedding guests have fun.

I only want a few games? Is this possible or do I have to have the package?

Yes this is not a problem as we can talk through with you which games you would like and provide you with a bespoke price. We find that for birthday parties in particular people only want one or two games.

Can adults and children play with the games?

Yes, there are no age restrictions on any of our games. We want everyone up and enjoying themselves and hopefully it provides lots of conversation starters. The garden games are all well recognised games and relatively simple. A member of The Added Extra team would be present to advise guests on what to do and ensure every one is getting a good amount of time on each item you hire from us. There are instruction cards in front of some of the games to assist guests as well.

What happens if the games get lost or damaged?

We take full responsibility for our games when setting up and collecting ourselves, and incorporate damages and loses in our pricing. However we have an attendant on site with the garden games to assist guests and keep things in order and well presented. Because they are supervised the risk of loss and damages is reduced. At the end of the day we just want to enjoy the day with you and stop drunken guests hitting each other with the items.
