A welcome addition to all events, Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Children’s Parties, Corporate Functions and much more – our sweet carts are a real treat for all your guests for all ages. Lets be honest, your never too old to have a sweet tooth!

Weddings are naturally great fun to do as you can go as minimal or as wild as you want to. Whether it be Vintage style, to 70’s Disco,  to Hollywood Glamour to Wedding Luxe, we make sure our Sweet carts are decorated to match your event style. With a huge range of options regarding decoration and sweets, our assigned designer to you personally will create the Sweet Cart with you that you never thought was possible.

The same fun can be had with different ideas and themes for Children’s parties. The most common is Frozen by Disney for girls or even a Unicorn theme at the moment. Anything from the Marvel collection is popular for the boys though many boys choose a football theme too. We would happily cater for any Football Team! We also offer in our package the child’s age in an LED 4ft light up number to make it a memorable moment on their birthday.

We deliver across the North West of England, especially in Cheshire and Lancashire so are familiar with many venues. Set up, design and collection is all part of the price.

Sweet Cart Hire For All Occasions

We do have optional upgrades:

As well as being assigned to one of our “in-house” designers, Our candy cart hire package includes:

  • A choice of up to 14 different varieties of sweets or chocolates
  • Sweet bags & jar ribbons matching your event colour scheme
  • Tongs and glassware
  • Choice of canopy roof colour and sweet cart decoration to match your personal taste
  • Delivery, set-up and collection

We offer advice regarding any food allergies that guests may have. We do take the time to consider these factors. When choosing sweets, you tell us what you like and we find them. Some people choose by colour, so they just want pinks, violets and yellow for example.

We have a choice of various tops and bottoms to the cart. We also have a choice of 3 different cart styles.

We would supply Chocolate no problem, but please consider these venues can get hot. The last thing you want is guests, especially children running around with melted chocolate.

All sweets that are left over will be yours for you and your guests to take home.

What happens after I have booked a Sweet Cart?

Our friendly and professional team are here to provide you with total peace of mind. When hiring products, we at The Added Extra are responsible for all removals. Your items will arrive on time, we will set them up for you, check all is working and at the end of the event we will collect. You don’t have to do a thing!

A member of our Creative Team will connect you 28 days before the event to determine your Sweet Cart choice, your sweets, and any basic or bespoke decoration that you may require. Colours and themes will be discussed as well as any allergies.

Is a Sweet Cart only for Sweets?

Sweet Carts can be used for anything in truth. We have seen them being used as a way of displaying and distributing cake, and even Prosecco or Cocktails. It is normally the corporate events that go wild with alternative concepts to sweets but is great fun and offers a great opportunity for us to play with various ideas.

How do I secure a booking?

(A £50 deposit is required to save the date and the balance is due 28 days before your event)

What if I have dietary requests from my guests?

We cater for all dietary requests but it is very important we are made aware of these requirements at the time of discussing designs with our Creative Team. Labelling the jars individually is a good way to ensure your guests are aware. There will also be the general Health and Safety warning notices up too.

Is there other ways of displaying sweets other than just hiring a Sweet Cart?

We have so many options. Our most popular alternative is the 6 foot Ferris wheel we have in white and rotates. We also offer the standard Sweet Tables for venues with not much space and a set of 3 ladders in white that also serve sweets.


You don’t need to hire a big item for our sweets. We do offer Party Cones and Sweet Boxes.
